PinFloi – The Videogame: a pixel-art browser arcade game inspired by the Pitura Freska song and Pink Floyd's 1989 concert in Venice.
For tens of thousands of people it was a once-in-a-lifetime event: in July 1989 Pink Floyd played in St Mark's Square and turned Venice into legend.
Not everyone made it up close. Among those stuck in the crowd was Sir Oliver Skardy, who never reached the square. That chaotic night later inspired Pin Floi by Pitura Freska, an ironic song that became an anthem for fans of the Venetian reggae band. In 2025, thirty-five years on, Skardy celebrated it with a new version on all streaming platforms and a limited-edition signed 7-inch vinyl.
Now the story continues with Sir Oliver Skardy Pin Floi – The Videogame: a free online game inspired by classic '80s arcade adventures, recreating that night through crowds, chaos and fun. I handled game design, development and pixel-art graphics. It runs in the browser, in HTML and JavaScript.
